BOOK SERIES
The mattyMACROPHAGE books will be an adventure series based upon the immunological cells of the human body. These cells will comprise the central characters of the books and they will interact with different pathologies they encounter in the body.
The author/illustrator is a medical doctor specializing in ophthalmology and vitreoretinal surgery. The books will be written as scientifically sound as possible, drawing upon the author’s studies in anatomy, physiology, immunology, pathology, and medicine. (For example, Izzie has two eyes because she is an eosinophil, which have a bilobed nucleus, and her nuclei represent her eyes. She has the freckles of a particular color because an eosinophil’s granules appear as such under a microscope.)
Each book will be centered on a different organ system (i.e., digestive system, etc). There will be 8 children’s books & 8 young adult (YA) novels in total.
The mattyMACROPOHAGE children’s books & YA novels will be written & illustrated by D.C. Neely, MD.

Via cerebrumAI, mattyMACROPHAGE will explore other ways to use artificial intelligence to push the boundaries of content creation in a safe & legal way that is fun for all!
Current uses include OpenAI’s ChatGPT, DALL-E 3, & Text to Speech APIs to help with bedtime story, photo, & audiobook creation on bedtime story BLAST.
